inside cover My friends at the Archive Center at Dayton History and I were thrilled the day this little booklet arrived in a collection of artifacts from the family of the late Evelyn Hodges Vogel. This small (49 pages) booklet seems to have been part of the materials given to women as part of the recruitment process. It has filled in many gaps in my understanding of roles WAVES had during wartime, their training, jobs and life style.
